Composing with the young

Through schools, children are selected to participate in a workshop ‘composing’. Together with musicians from NedPhO/NKO they make a composition, taking one element from a piece that will be played by the NedPhO/NKO later that week. In the workshop the children play instruments; or if they don’t have an instrument themselves, they play percussion or sing. The result is presented as a pre-concert performance in one of the foyers at the venue, prior to the concert of NedPhO/NKO.ist).
