Hommage to Bernstein – Marcos Fernández

Hommage to Bernstein was composed in 2018 by Marcos Fernández in honor of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday. Fernández took the most swinging part of the West Side Story as inspiration for his tribute. In October, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra played this brand new work in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
