One of the most anticipated concert of the season is certainly Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. With Alexandre Bloch as conductor, the musicians of the orchestra and their guest Patrick Wibart will unveil the Snake Concerto by Benjamin Attahir. Invented at the end of the 16th century, used by Berlioz in his Symphonie Fantastique, the snake disappeared during the 19th century and only reappeared very recently. In a form that reminds us of the animal, the snake is made of wood and leather and is in a way, an ancestor of the tuba. Benjamin Attahir will present this instrument during his “Leçon de musique” before the concert. He will also evoke others instruments equally astonishing.
