Under the direction of maestro Grigory Krasko, the concert of Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra titled Popular Classical Music was held on November 16th at 20h, at the Cultural Centre in Tivat (Montenegro). The concert program included popular pieces of classical music repertoire such as: Overture to the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila by Michail Ivanovich Glinka and Euryanthe by Carl Maria von Weber, Farandola from the orchestral suite L’Arlésienne by Georges Bizet, excerptions from the ballet Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Spartacus and Gayane by Aram Khachaturian, Amoroso from the opera Cinderella and Marsh from the opera The Love for Three Oranges by Sergei Prokofiev, Hungarian Dance no.5 by Johannes Brahms and Slavonic Dance no.1 by Antonín Dvořák. The concert was attended by around 400 visitors, mostly young audience (primary and secondary school age) and their parents, heterogenious audience from Tivat and the nearby towns.
