On the occasion of the premiere performance of “Kosara” for Soprano and Chamber Orchestra, commissioned by Montenegrin Music Center, Pre-Concert Talks were organized on April 27 in Press hall of Montenegrin National Theatre (7pm).
At the beginning, General Manager of MMC Zarko Mirkovic addressed the audience and pointed out activities and main goals of MUCN, with a special emphasis on “Kosara” composed by young Montenegrin composer Nina Perovic. Afterwards, author itself presented her work and talked about her inspiration, music language and structural issues of the piece, as well as chosen instruments, and specific aspects of interpretation. Soloist Olivera Ticevic (soprano) referred to her cooperation with the composer, and pointed out some of the performative aspects of the solo part and its interpretative challenges.
