The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Marc Albrecht, played the world premiere of ‘North Atlantic Light’, the second violin concerto by the Dutch composer Robin de Raaff. The young Dutch violinist Tosca Opdam was the soloist in the brand new work. She previously played a violin sonata with the same name in Carnegie Hall in New York, after which De Raaff transformed the piece into a violin concerto for orchestra.
