WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU?

Orchestral Encounters for young audiences

Within the EU project “Music Up Close Network”, the National Academy “Santa Cecilia” from Rome and Montenegrin Music Center implemented two concerts for children (age 5 to 10) entitled “What music are you?”.
Both concerts were held in Cetinje (Royal Theatre “Zetski dom”) on May 29. Participants of the program were professors and musicians of the National Academy “Santa Cecilia” orchestra Ylenia Montaruli (violin), Francesco Storino (violoncello) and Gregorio Mazzarese (tuba), as well as Montenegrin actress Kristina Obradovic and pianist Luka Djacic.
Through interactive artistic format which included classical pieces such as “Ode to Joy” by L. van Beetoven, “Adagio” by T. Albinoni, “Winter” from “Four Seasons” by A. Vivaldi, “Moto perpetuo” by N. Paganini, “Nocturnal” by F. Chopin, as well as the Montenegrin anthem and several children’s songs, young audience was shown various musical means by which certain events, human emotions and moods can be expressed.
